Site readiness checklist (copy/paste)

This checklist prevents delays. Therefore, it should be confirmed before delivery is booked.

  • Delivery postcode + named site contact (phone number).
  • Access route confirmed (width restrictions, low bridges, turning circles).
  • Set-down area confirmed (clear, level, and not blocked).
  • Lifting method agreed (hiab, crane, or forklift where applicable).
  • Ground level and foundations/pads confirmed.
  • Utilities confirmed (electric, water, drainage) or off-grid plan agreed.
  • Working hours, safeguarding rules, and permit requirements confirmed.
  • Exclusion zones and traffic management planned (if crane lift).

Access and delivery planning

Access is often the critical constraint. Therefore, we confirm vehicle type, turning space and set-down area early.

Vehicle type

Artic or rigid delivery depends on module size and route constraints. In addition, low bridges and narrow streets must be checked.

Turning and set-down space

Confirm turning circles, gate widths, and a clear set-down zone. Consequently, unloading is faster and safer.

Site rules

Working hours, permits, and safeguarding rules should be agreed. Therefore, delivery timing aligns with site operations.

Lifting plan: crane / hiab / set-down

A lifting plan reduces risk and prevents delays. Therefore, confirm method and exclusion zones before delivery.

  • Confirm lift method: hiab, crane, or other approved method.
  • Confirm set-down point and final position.
  • Plan exclusion zones and traffic management.
  • Confirm overhead hazards (cables, trees, structures).
  • Ensure ground bearing capacity for crane outriggers (if applicable).

Groundworks and foundations

Ground level and foundations control long-term performance. Therefore, we confirm pads, levels and drainage routes early.

Base type

Concrete pads, strip foundations, or other engineered solutions depend on building use and site ground conditions.

Levels and drainage

Accurate levels reduce installation time. In addition, planned drainage routes prevent later rework.

Access for services

Service ducts and entry points should be planned. Consequently, connections and commissioning are faster.

Utilities and commissioning

Utilities can be simple or complex. Therefore, confirm what is available on site before finalising specification.

  • Electrical: supply location, isolation, and capacity confirmed.
  • Water: feed location and pressure confirmed (if required).
  • Drainage: connection point confirmed or off-grid plan agreed.
  • Commissioning: functional checks, safety checks, and handover pack.

Handover and next steps

Handover should be simple and documented. Therefore, we confirm commissioning checks and provide a handover pack where applicable.

Delivery & installation — FAQ

Short answers designed for Google snippets and AI search.

What do you need from us before delivery is booked?
We need postcode, access route, set-down area, lifting method, ground level confirmation, and utilities status. Therefore, the delivery plan stays predictable.
Do you always need a crane?
Not always. It depends on module size, access and site constraints. However, crane planning must be confirmed early if required.
How quickly will you respond with a quote?
Typical quote response is within 48 hours (Mon–Fri) once we have use case, size/layout and postcode.
